Introducing our food partner PORK BOX

It's a FAMILY affair...

We'll be working alongside the fledgeling street food startup PORK BOX, with fellow Chaters, Chris and Sam, at the helm. They'll be bringing Porchetta, an Italian street food favourite of stuffed and rolled pork, cooked slowly on a spit, to E17 along with delicious vegetarian and vegan options, of course!

The PORK BOX itself (a converted horse box) is still under construction. We'll be having a huge launch party to welcome the beast so, keep your ear to the ground, we'll be announcing the date soon.

Pork Box founders Chris and Sam Chater met while working in a local pub Kent. After this introduction to the industry, Chris went on to forge a career in food. His studies allowed him the opportunity to work at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant Maze in Mayfair where he earned his stripes. Chris's experience grew during his time in London working at Gordon Ramsey's Pétrus and Claridges Restaurant.

A country boy at heart, Chris left the city to work at the relaxed fine dining restaurant, Thackeray's, back home in Tunbridge Wells.

 

Truly embracing country life, Sam and Chris went on to rear and raise Tamworth, Saddleback and Gloucester Old Spot pigs. It wasn't long before they were rolling the belly and loin of their beautiful pigs with aromatic Italian ingredients including sage, fennel seeds and lemon zest, which is pretty much where the PORK BOX story begins.

With inspiration from his Italian heritage and his experience from the professional kitchen, Chris has gone on to develop a menu of naughty, crowd-pleasing menu of filled focaccia. This summer Chris and Sam will be bringing the countryside to an Industrial little corner of London in the form of PORK BOX, a horse box which has been converted into a street food kitchen.

VICTORY E17 Bar 2019

SATURDAY 1ST JUNE marks the launch of Victory E17 bar residency at Wood Street Coffee/Blackhorse Workshop.

 

Victory's own Max and Máire Chater have curated a bespoke menu of bottled cocktails using Victory Gin, Victory Vodka and Victory Bitter. These bottles have been produced in collaboration with the talented local artist Amber Rose from Eastern Rose Designs. We’ll also be selling the cocktails to take away and they will be available exclusively from the bar! Do not miss out!

 

We'll be working with local businesses to accommodate all of the beer drinkers and non-drinkers out there too!
